Guarav held a managerial position in one of the TOP firms in New Zealand when he became a member. He came in because his career growth was slowing down. He knew he needed something - but he did not know what that was yet.
Gaurav was extremely structured and disciplined - with his thoughts, ideas, communication, his time and his approach towards growth. He would have a regime, a plan and would meticulously follow it to grow. This strategy was working for him very well until this point.
The strategy helped him develop excellence in the technical aspect of his work. Gaurav was excellent with his technical skills. His data, his knowledge, his precision always stood out.
BUT - for him to move ahead and actually get a seat on the table, we focussed on two very specific things:
1. Human Intuition
2. Executive Presence
Now internally this strategy of being structured, disciplined and meticulous was also his strategy to communicate with people. He would think everyone has the same internal process he has - and would have a proper structure and logical reasoning to talk to them. Now of course, human beings aren’t machines and you have to have an intuitive choice to communicate with each person differently.
To help him develop the capability of building human intuition, we helped him learn and master the Art of Mirroring & Perceptual Position (a capability some of the top marketers and leaders possess naturally). We also interrupted the states of irritation, frustration and helplessness when he was not able to get through to people.
Developing this set of capabilities helped him understand, connect, mentor, delegate, lead his time and at the same time understand the top management and nurture the bonds and connections.
One of the other capabilities that would lead him to have an Executive Presence would be the Art of Flow. Using New Behaviour Generators (such as Reframing, The Alphabet Game, Collapse Anchor) etc. we helped him develop deep altered states and also develop the fluidity of states.
How did this set of adjustments help Gaurav achieve Accelerated Growth?
He is now a part of The Leadership Team.
